DAY 01 | Airport – Negombo

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, where you will be welcomed and transferred to Negombo, a vibrant coastal town known for its sandy beaches and lively fishing community

Explore Trincomalee, visiting its historical and natural attractions, such as Fort Frederick, Koneswaram Temple, and Nilaveli Beach. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing by the coast or enjoying optional activities like snorkeling or whale watching (a seasonal activity)

Depart for Sigiriya, stopping en route to explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its well-preserved ruins, including ancient temples, statues, and reservoirs. Continue to Sigiriya for an overnight stay

Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning frescoes, ancient ruins, and breathtaking views. In the afternoon, enjoy an optional jeep safari at Minneriya National Park, where you can spot elephants and other wildlife

Depart for Kandy, stopping en route to visit the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring ancient Buddhist murals and statues. Optionally, explore a Herbal/Spice Garden and a Batik Factory in Matale. Upon arrival in Kandy, enjoy sightseeing, including visits to the Royal Botanical Garden, a Cultural Dance Show, and the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic. Optionally, visit a Handicraft Center and a Gem Lapidary & Museum
